Roy E. Alston

Roy E. Alston, PhD is a West Point graduate who served in combat with 82d Airborne Division during the first Gulf War.  Roy is a retired Dallas Police Department Major who served on the Department of Justice research team that completed the After Action Assessment of the Police Response to the August 2014 Demonstrations in Ferguson, Missouri.  Roy is regularly sought out for his expertise on police reform, law enforcement training, issues involving police legitimacy and building trust between the police and the communities they serve.  Roy currently serves as the Vice 

President of Security for CHRISTUS Health and is the author of two books, The Leader's Compass for Law Enforcement Professionals and Radioactive Leadership.
