The Evolution to CulturePop on the Wings of Continual Learning

In the summer of 2020, we formed diversitypop, a technology company with the mission of helping people learn diversity insights and inclusive instincts at the pace of life. We built anonymity and clean AI into the very heart of the learning system.

Then by early 2021, as other organizations with varying corporate cultures adopted the diversitypop technology, we realized that their objective in using the platform was something even more ambitious: to increase belonging. We spoke with our customers who began to see a positive trend in increased belonging and personal initiative, building upon this tiny, repeatable micro-learning and engagement to grow their culture.

And so, the diversitypop cofounders revisited their original collective assumption. If we had created an anonymous and intelligent learning system to help cultures grow, then we ourselves should also be a culture that grows with them. We realized that delivering diversity insights is only part of the overall goal. Our customers told us that this vision is too limiting for the platform we had created. We learned that the greater opportunity is to use our Clean AI to help any organization develop a more balanced and bold culture, which of course includes different perspectives and varying backgrounds. It demands inclusive instincts but also personal change and growth. Culture requires participation, innovation and belonging to truly flourish.

In the end people, can’t “change“ their diversity persona, that beautiful mixture of who they are, but they can sustainably and steadily impact their organization’s culture. They can create the culture they wish to see by delivering on the behaviors they wish others to replicate.

So, to our current customers, thank you and welcome to CulturePop! The DEI engine is alive and well, powered by expansive participation layers that you have guided us in building.  The belonging bonus is now within reach of more organizations than ever. And the data tells us an equally encouraging story.

Since the beginning of 2021, we have surpassed over 1 million check-ins and exceeded 10,000 hours of DEI learning, all on those individual efforts of people participating in sustained ways to make their organization cultures pop!
