The LGBTQ community has been fighting for the right to access equal opportunities at the workplace for years. The community has experienced tremendous success in its push for equality. In the past, many LGBTQ employees would not disclose their sexual orientation at the workplace to avoid discrimination. Some employers would dismiss job applications from potential employees who were openly part of the LGBTQ community.
